The Spirit Committee set up a surprise for Staff before Spring Break. Those silly ducks got into so many adventures including a trip to Florida for the Senior Trip, a concert to see Nelly and STL to see the arch, also some duck's owner is going to be a GRANDMA!

The Higbee Junior High Tigers kicked off their first meet of the season this week and showed great effort, energy, and improvement across the board. The girls team finished with 11 total points, led by a strong day from Emma Deschu, who scored in both the 100m hurdles (5th) and the 400m (5th). In the sprints, Justyn Imhoff and Isiah Simmons stayed busy competing in multiple events, with Simmons also adding a solid performance in the hurdles and long jump. On the girls side, Elyktra Sears and Tinsley Vanlandingham competed hard in the 100m and were key contributors in the relays. The distance crew gained valuable experience in their first outing, with Olivia Boggs and Kadence Sercu running the 800m and 1600m, while Ridley Hall competed in both relays and long jump. Addison Greening and Gracie McAlpin were big contributors in the relay events, helping the team score valuable points. In the field events, Jackson Dodsworth earned a top-10 finish in shot put, while Talon Stockhorst, Rylee Seidel, and Kenlee Wright competed in the throws and continue to build consistency. Relay teams brought great energy, with the girls 4x400 and 4x800 both scoring points and showing awesome teamwork to start the season. Overall, it was a great first meet with lots of learning, effort, and team support. Excited to see how this group continues to grow throughout the season. Go Tigers! 🐅

The Higbee Tigers were back in action this week with a strong showing across multiple events, highlighting continued growth, effort, and some big performances. Leading the way for the boys was Danny Janssen, who had an outstanding meet with a 3rd place finish in the 300m hurdles, while also adding points in the 1600m and long jump. Brayson Harlan also had a strong day, scoring in the 400m, long jump, and pole vault! He cleared 3 bars in Pole Vault and became the second Higbee athlete ever to do so! He had a quick split to help the 4x400 relay team earn points. Corbin Imhoff contributed in multiple events as well, including a scoring performance in the high jump finishing 5th with 5'3" (debut) and a solid run in the 400m and 800m. In the throws, Jedidiah Williams had a huge performance with a 2nd place finish in discus, leading the team and adding more experience in shot put and javelin. Jacob Sanderson also competed in the throws, continuing to build consistency. On the girls side, Mersadiaz Pegelow led the way with a scoring performance in discus and added strong efforts in shot put and javelin. Kiersten Rockett scored in the long jump and contributed across multiple events including the 400m and triple jump. Jayla Schaedel added a personal best in shot put and competed in sprints and javelin, while Kylie Sinklear and Abbigail Henderson competed in sprints, jumps, and relays. The sprint group saw Jeremiah Simmons and Xavier Gabing both hit personal bests, showing improvement early in the season. Additional contributions came from Mya Sears and Naomi Schlapper, who competed in sprints and field events throughout the meet. Relay teams capped off the night with strong efforts, as both the boys and girls 4x400 teams earned points and showed great teamwork to finish the meet. Overall, it was a well-rounded performance with multiple athletes scoring, setting personal bests, and continuing to improve each week. Proud of the effort and competitiveness from this group. The Higbee Junior High Tigers had a big night on the track, with multiple personal bests, record-breaking performances, and continued improvement across the board. Leading the way was Avian Deskin, who had an outstanding meet with a 2nd place finish in the 100m hurdles and a 5th place finish in the 100m, scoring big points for the Tigers. Kadence Sercu also had a great night, earning a 4th place finish in the 1600m with a personal best, while Emma Deschu added points in the hurdles and competed in multiple events. In the sprints, Justyn Imhoff and Isiah Simmons both ran personal bests in the 100m, while Phoenyx Sears and Jackson Dodsworth added strong performances in the 200m, with Dodsworth scoring points. The field events saw continued growth, with Rylee Seidel and Kenlee Wright both scoring in discus, and Gracie McAlpin earning points with a strong performance in high jump. Isiah Simmons added points in the long jump, continuing his all-around success. History was made as Justyn Imhoff became the first middle school athlete in school history to clear a bar in pole vault, finishing with a 6’0” vault and clearing multiple heights in an impressive performance. The boys 4x100 relay team of Simmons, Imhoff, Dodsworth, and Sears also made history, breaking the school record by over a full second with a strong team effort. The girls relay teams continued to shine as well, with the 4x100, 4x200, 4x400, and 4x800 all putting together strong races and continuing to close in on school records. Athletes like Addison Greening, Ridley Hall, Olivia Boggs, Tinsley Vanlandingham, Elyktra Sears, Talon Stockhorst, and Nico Johnson all contributed across events and continue to improve each meet. Today was Nico Johnson and Phoenix Sears first track meet ever! They did awesome! Overall, it was a great night full of energy, personal bests, and historic moments. This group is continuing to take big steps forward and it’s exciting to see their growth. Go Tigers! 🐅
