Higbee School is excited to once again provide the majority of school supplies for all students for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This helps ensure every student has what they need to start the year off right while easing the burden on families. We are proud to support our students and community in this way. Our 6th-12th graders danced the night away tonight at the Spring FBLA Dance. 🐅 GO TIGERS! 🐅

After 32 amazing years of service, Mrs. Young is officially closing her classroom door and opening an exciting new chapter! From teaching sweet Pre-K milestone moments to conquering 8th-grade Pre-Algebra, she has truly done it all and impacted countless lives along the way.
If you ask her what she will miss the most, it is hands-down her wonderful coworkers and her students. Her absolute favorite memories are the full-circle moments, like being recognized by former students miles away from school, being proudly introduced to their families in public, and hearing how her famous math tricks are still helping them today in shop, science, and their careers. She has even had the unique joy of teaching alongside former students and teaching the children of past students!
Now, she is trading the lesson plans for travel maps and family celebrations! Mrs. Young is looking forward to hitting the road to visit Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Tennessee, as well as diving headfirst into wedding planning for possibly both of her daughters! ✈️💍

Some of our Lady Tigers traveled to Clark today to show off their skills at the 4-H/FFA Equine Show. Kudos to Lily, Martina, and Emma for the hard work that they put into preparing for these weekend competitions. 🐅 GO TIGERS!🐅
Danny Janssen finished 5th in high jump and 7th in the 300 hurdles today at Sectionals. He capped off an incredible high school athletic career today!

Last night we celebrated our student-athletes, and tonight we celebrated our FFA students. Two different banquets, but one common theme: growth beyond the classroom.
Athletics and organizations like FFA are extensions of education. They teach lessons that cannot always be found in a textbook, including discipline, leadership, teamwork, responsibility, perseverance, and character. Early mornings, late nights, practices, competitions, projects, and service all help shape hardworking young people into future leaders.
We could not be more proud of the efforts that our students pour into our programs. GO TIGERS!
