Higbee R-VIII Court-warming Spirit Week is this week! Reminder: No hats allowed!

We will have an AMI day tomorrow, January 26, in lieu of the previously scheduled makeup day due to snow and extreme cold.
Please review the previous guidance that was sent regarding AMI days.
Be safe and stay warm.

Good Afternoon,
I wanted to notify you that we will be having an AMI day tomorrow (1/23) due to the projected negative wind chills.
Teachers will communicate AMI expectations no later than the end of the day today with all students and parents, if they have not already done so. Teachers will be available tomorrow via email to assist with work sent home and to answer any parent or student questions during normal school hours (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM).
In addition, all special education students will follow the specific AMI plan outlined in their IEP to receive services. Special education teachers will be in contact to ensure compliance and that each AMI plan is implemented with fidelity.
Completed work must be submitted upon return, or your student will be marked as an unexcused absence for the AMI day.
Here is the board-approved AMI Plan for your review: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QQSOKzvUultsvCrikCKSMj9Prz6qL-O5qI6TQGgJqrQ/edit?usp=drivesdk
We DO have a snow make-up day planned for Monday, January 26, 2026. If this changes due to weather, I will communicate that with you by Sunday.
Please reach out to your student’s teacher with any questions or concerns you may have.
Go Tigers!
