Coach McCauley and Coach Kirby spent the weekend representing Higbee at the MOSHAPE PE conference, learning new tips, tricks, and games to enhance our school's PE program, and sharing a few beginner teacher strategies for PE during their presentation. They also competed and brought home a brand new nine square in the air set for our students to play. Go Tigers!

The Higbee Summer Basketball Shootout, likely the largest school ran shootout in the state generates significant funds for the program. Over the last few years enough has been earned to purchase 2 shooting machines, numerous basketballs, yearly shooting shirts, electrical for new drop down basketball goals, and this year custom gym mops and floor/backboard cleaning kit, shot clocks, backlighting for backboards and a digital scorerstable. All profit from our summer shootouts goes directly to the program, no coaches or volunteers are paid. None of this would be possible without the dedication of the volunteers. Exciting news from our PreK-5 character education assembly held on Nov 1. Congrats to our winners who were nominated by their teachers and recognized for being Trustworthy.

Lady Tigers won against the New Franklin Lady Bulldogs 35-20. The Tigers fell to the Bulldogs 41-32.

Last week Higbee students were able to exercise their right to vote. Each day the voting booth was open to students so they could cast their vote on topics such as favorite cookie, new item on the playground and new food choice for the lunch menu. The results were Chocolate chip cookies, Tetherball and Popcorn chicken.

Come cheer on our Tigers tonight as they face off against the New Franklin Bulldogs! Games begin at 5:30 - don't miss it!
