Third grade started their science lessons on life cycles by hatching baby chicks in the classroom. They enjoyed interacting with the chicks while doing observations.
On Friday, Mrs. Niemeier and Mr. McCauley spent some time on the exercise bike whipping up over 50 smoothies. The students were excited to watch them peddle away and even more excited to drink their smoothies. Next week is the last week to turn reading logs in for a smoothie and chance to win a prize.
Ms. Ludwick's class got to celebrate Holi today, an Indian holiday that celebrates friendship and new beginnings!

Mrs. Bogg's Kindergarten enjoyed the sunshine today while planting their garden.
Several Higbee High school Art students toured the Art department at Columbia College. They explored a gallery, workshopped a logo making class and a jewelry making class, then toured the campus.

Read Across America 2025 is underway! The students will come in this week and get to see all of the awesome prizes on display. Thank you to all the people and businesses for donating. Prizes and books have been purchased. Smoothies will be made on Thursdays and Fridays.Get those reading logs filled up and turned in!

Higbee band students participated in CLAA conference band March 3.
Reminder: Barnwarming has been rescheduled for March 10th from 4pm-8pm in the cafeteria. If you sign up to bring items for the potato bar please bring them by Friday, March 7th. If you are not bringing an item for the potato bar you can always bring drinks, finger foods or a dessert.

Lady Tigers season ended today during the District Championship game against Cairo with a loss 64-50. Every play, every hustle, every moment showed the resilience and dedication that define this team.
Our Lady Tigers head to Madison tomorrow to take on the Lady Bearcats. Come cheer them on as they battle it out for the District title. GO TIGERS!
Our boys left it all on the court tonight in a hard -fought district championship game against Cairo. The game didn't go our way losing 68-51-but their heart, grit and determination held strong.
