Second graders were soooo excited for their "cake pops" that they didn't even think about it being April Fools Day. Mrs. Marriott treated them with real cake pops after she got a good laugh.

Higbee Track and Field @ New Bloomfield
Last night was the very first meet held at their brand new facility!
Both sides competed well bringing home 8 marks that placed to score points!
Women's Placed Marks:
Ronnie Welch won the Women's High Jump with a 5-01.75 foot clearance! She was flying high and there's more to come!
Kiersten Rockett is proving her consistency in arguably the toughest event in track and field with back to back places in the 300 meter hurdles.
Both Ronnie and Kiersten scored points in the Triple Jump with Ronnie jumping 30-2.75 ft. & Rockett hitting 29-04.75 ft.
Ayla Griffin, Jayla Schaedel, Shayanna DeWeese took on the throws! Jayla and Shayanna cooked up some quick 100 meter clockings. These ladies logged a number of new personal bests!
Men's Placed Marks:
We competed well in the field events with Danny Janssen placing 3rd in the Triple Jump with a mark of 38-4.0 ft.
We saw numerous personal bests from our long jumpers Celton Crawford (16-00.50 ft), Brayson Harlan (14-03.25 ft), and Gavin Snell (14-02.50 ft).
In Javelin our boys Jedidiah Williams and Cale Nelson threw within 1 hundredth of a meter of each with Williams taking the edge! Nelson had a good showing by competing in Javelin, 110 hurdles, 4x100, and the 200 in his first meet.
Aaron cleared 5-05.75 ft in high jump to place 10th. He brought home a seasons best in the 200 meter dash in 25.09 to place 7th.
Our throwers Xavier Gabing, Jedidiah Williams, and Aiden Frieden all pressed out some solid marks.
In the running events we led the meet off with our 4x800 (Celton, Aaron, Brayson, Danny) placing 6th in a deep field.
Danny Janssen placed 2nd in the 1600 meter in a tactical race that led to an all out sprint finish.
We saw a couple personal bests in the sprints with Brayson leading the team to a 63 in the 400, Friedin and Nelson running neck and neck in the 200, and Crawford clocking a 53 in the 300 hurdles.
We have meets next Tuesday at North Calloway and next Thursday at CMU.
