Our teachers packed a lot into today’s in-service! 🍎 We started with a tasty breakfast from Exchange Bank, enjoyed a delicious lunch from our Senior Center, and even squeezed in a stop at a local lemonade stand run by one of our elementary students raising money for a classmate in need. 💛
This is what makes our community special. We learn together, support each other, and care for one another every step of the way. #TigerPride

Heading to the Higbee Fair this week? Our Seniors have you covered when it comes to delicious food! Join them at their taco stand Thursday through Saturday and grab your favorite fair-time eats. On Saturday morning, start your day right with a hot breakfast at the fair before all the fun begins. Every purchase supports our 2026 Senior class, so stop by, say hello, and enjoy some great food while you’re here! GO TIGERS!

🎵 Attention 5th & 6th Grade Band Families! 🎵
As we prepare for a fantastic year in band, please note that 5th and 6th grade band students need to purchase the following two books by Bruce Pearson:
📕 Standard of Excellence, Book 1 – Be sure to choose the version that matches your child's instrument (e.g., flute, trumpet, clarinet, etc.)
📘 Standard of Excellence, Book 2 – Also instrument specific, so make sure to select the correct one for your child’s instrument.
These books are essential for class and will be used regularly for practice and performance throughout the year. Students in other grades do not need to purchase these books. You can find both books locally at Palen Music Center in Columbia, MO, or order them online through a variety of retailers.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Farnen at sfarnen@higbeeschool.com
