The Junior Class wasn't able to draw for the cornhole set due to the home games being canceled. They will draw at the last home game on May 7th. You may purchase tickets from any junior, the concession stand will have them available, or at the school. Thank you for your support.

What started out as a rainy day at the field in Slater turned into an exciting evening of baseball! ⚾️ Varsity picked up a 2-1 win and JV walked off the field with a 5-5 tie against the Wildcats. 🐅 GO TIGERS! 🐅

The Higbee Middle School track teams turned in another strong performance, highlighted by school records, personal bests, and continued overall growth across both the boys’ and girls’ programs.
On the boys’ side, Jackson Dodsworth led the sprint group with a strong 200m performance as he continues to close in on the school record. In the mid-distance events, Justyn Imhoff delivered one of the standout performances of the meet, placing 8th in the 800m with a PR that broke a 9-year-old school record, marking a major milestone for the program.
The boy's relay teams made history on the track. The 4x200 squad of Isiah Simmons, Justyn Imhoff, Phoenyx Sears, and Jackson Dodsworth set a new school record, and the same group came back to break another school record in the 4x400, showing both speed and endurance at a high level.
In the field events, Phoenyx Sears had a big day in discus with a PR and is now just one meter away from the school record. Talon Stockhorst also recorded a PR in discus, adding depth to the throws group. Isiah Simmons competed well in the long jump, while Jackson Dodsworth added a solid effort in shot put. Simmons and Imhoff also gained valuable experience in the pole vault as they continue developing in the event.
The girls’ team also continued to show steady improvement and competitiveness across the board. Emma Deschu led the way in the 100m with a PR. She is closing in on the school records! She and also contributed in multiple relays. Ridley Hall added a big PR in the 200m and just about equaled her best long jump performance. Tinsley Vanlandingham picked up a PR in the 400m, showing continued growth in the longer sprints.
In the hurdles, Emma Deschu and Avian Deskin competed well and gained important experience. Kadence Sercu put together a solid run in the 1600m, continuing to build consistency in the distance events.
The relay teams were a major highlight for the girls as well. The 4x100 team of Emma Deschu, Ridley Hall, Addison Greening, and Avian Deskin, along with the 4x400 squad, both posted season-best times and are now just about a second away from school records, putting them in striking distance of making history.
In the field events, Kenlee Wright had a strong day with a PR in discus and solid work in shot put. Rylee Seidel also competed in the shot put, discus, and triple jump continuing to gain valuable experience in all three.
Overall, it was a standout meet for Higbee, with 3 school records, many PRs, and season-best performances across both teams highlighting the continued progress of the Tigers program.

The Higbee Tigers HS T&F team competed hard at the Macon Gerald Mansfield Invitational, with several athletes recording personal and season-best performances against a competitive field.
On the boys side, Danny Janssen turned in a strong meet, earning points in both the high jump and long jump while posting a PR in the high jump and a season best in the 300m hurdles. He's setting himself up well for post season and he's ready to have a breakthrough. Jeremiah Simmons competed across multiple events, including the 100m, 110m hurdles, and long jump. Josiah Williams added efforts in both the 200m and 400m.
In the throws, Jedidiah Williams led the way in discus, shot put, and javelin, competing in all three events for Higbee, while Jacob Sanderson was unable to compete on the day.
For the girls, Kiersten Rockett had a standout performance with PRs in both the 100m and 200m, while also competing in long jump. Jayla Schaedel added a PR in the 400m and contributed in javelin, while Naomi Schlapper also competed in the 400m.
Mya Sears highlighted the day with a major breakthrough in the 800m, dropping a 10-second PR, and also competed in the 200m and triple jump.
In the throws, Shyanna DeWeese recorded a PR in discus and is now sitting just about a meter away from the school record, showing how close she is to making history. Ayla Griffin also added a PR in discus, while Mersadiaz Pegelow competed in both shot put and javelin.
In the jumps, Kylie Sinklear competed in both long jump and triple jump, while also contributing in the sprints.
In relay action, the boys 4x100 team of Brayson Harlan, Jeremiah Simmons, Josiah Williams, and Danny Janssen competed well, while the girls 4x100 team of Jayla Schaedel, Kiersten Rockett, Kylie Sinklear, and Abbigail Henderson posted a season best performance.
