Important July and August happenings. 🐅GO TIGERS! 🐅
Last night, Higbee FFA members prepared their country hams for the upcoming Randolph County Fair! Members took their hams down from curing, brushed off the excess salt and seasonings, and carefully trimmed the hock and face of each ham to get them exhibition ready. The hams will be judged on Monday, July 20 for the opportunity to earn a spot in the Exhibitor Auction on Friday, July 24 at 6:30 p.m. We wish all of our members the best of luck!
A special thank you to Leslie and Charlie Rosenkrans and Amy Perkins for sharing their time and expertise to help our members throughout the process.
The Randolph County Fair schedule is attached. Be sure to come out and support Higbee FFA as our members participate in a variety of events throughout the week. We hope to see you there! GO TIGERS!
A celebration luncheon for our very own Amber Stockhorst was held for being named a Top 12 Northeast Regional Teacher of the Year finalist. Her dedication, passion, and positive impact on our students make this recognition well deserved. Thank you for inspiring excellence every day.

- MSHSAA Dead Week is 7/25 to 8/2
- Annual Athletic Meeting for all JH and HS athletes will be held on 8/3 at 6:00 PM (School Gym)
- Practices begin on 8/10 for Baseball/Softball/HS Cross Country
- Practices begin on 8/17 for JH Cross Country
- Practices begin on 9/1 for JH Basketball
**NOTE** Students are unable to practice without a physical!

Higbee School is excited to once again provide the majority of school supplies for all students for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This helps ensure every student has what they need to start the year off right while easing the burden on families. We are proud to support our students and community in this way. Our 6th-12th graders danced the night away tonight at the Spring FBLA Dance. 🐅 GO TIGERS! 🐅

After 32 amazing years of service, Mrs. Young is officially closing her classroom door and opening an exciting new chapter! From teaching sweet Pre-K milestone moments to conquering 8th-grade Pre-Algebra, she has truly done it all and impacted countless lives along the way.
If you ask her what she will miss the most, it is hands-down her wonderful coworkers and her students. Her absolute favorite memories are the full-circle moments, like being recognized by former students miles away from school, being proudly introduced to their families in public, and hearing how her famous math tricks are still helping them today in shop, science, and their careers. She has even had the unique joy of teaching alongside former students and teaching the children of past students!
Now, she is trading the lesson plans for travel maps and family celebrations! Mrs. Young is looking forward to hitting the road to visit Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Tennessee, as well as diving headfirst into wedding planning for possibly both of her daughters! ✈️💍

Some of our Lady Tigers traveled to Clark today to show off their skills at the 4-H/FFA Equine Show. Kudos to Lily, Martina, and Emma for the hard work that they put into preparing for these weekend competitions. 🐅 GO TIGERS!🐅
Danny Janssen finished 5th in high jump and 7th in the 300 hurdles today at Sectionals. He capped off an incredible high school athletic career today!
The Higbee Track and Field Coaching Staff couldn't be prouder of our squad. We are looking forward to what is in store in the coming seasons.
